1938 - 1939, very interesting lot of 3 special-cancellation covers: 42 Pfennig "Brown Ribbon" 1938 (Michel No. 671) on a small, correctly franked registered cover with the special cancellation of the corresponding equestrian event at Munich Riem. Also the 25 Pfennig commemorative "70 Years of the German Derby" of 1939 (Michel No. 698), correctly franked in combination with an 8 Pfennig Hindenburg definitive on a small registered printed-matter cover, with the corresponding special cancellation of the equestrian event in Hamburg. And the overprinted issue for the 1939 Nürburgring race (Michel Nos. 695-97), as a complete-set franking on a small, almost correctly franked registered cover (1 Pfennig overpaid), with the corresponding special cancellation of Nürburgring (Eifel) for the race. All covers genuinely postally used to Wittenberg, with arrival datestamps on the reverse, and in very good, faultless condition. The special cancellations are listed but not priced in the Michel Germany Specialised catalogue. High catalogue value even at normal cover prices.
